Payton has been at the top of her game lately. This little 3 year old cracks me up! Two stories follow that exemplify this.
Payton has been potty training for at least a year now. She is so stubborn when it come to peeing on the potty, but I told her that we did not need to buy any more pull-ups after we had used the super bag of them from Costco. I offered to buy her new panties if she stopped asking for her 'princess panties' (aka pull-ups) with Disney princesses on them. Payton asked if she could have car panties - from the Cars movie. I, just hoping to stop filling up the land fill from Payton's diapers alone, agreed. At the store, there are the usual boy and girl underwear. There were pink panties, princess panties, Dora panties - all kinds of cute girly-panties. Which ones did Payton go for? - yep - the car panties.
She was so proud of them. They are boy briefs, so that the boy pouch/pocket is in the front and a picture of a car is on the back. She was so excited, we had put them on when we got home. I helped her get them on and she said, 'Mom, they're on backwards.' Of course, I said they weren't. But she would not rest until the cars were on the front so that she could see them. Alas, at least she is not wearing diapers anymore!

We made chocolate chip cookies one evening this week. I let the kids each have one as a snack before bed. Ian scarfed his down, so read to him and laid him down for the night. I came back to the kitchen where Payton was 'eating' her snack and she said, "Mommy, all the animals ate my cookie!"

She finds more comfort in them. Maybe you should give it a try. Walk a mile Payton's her 'shoes [shorts].'
