Sleepy, Sleepy

Gizmo had quite a day today. He got out of the house this morning and I didn't realize it. I think he was out on his own for about 4 hours. We had a big thunder storm come through here. Just as it started to downpour, I just happen to look out onto our deck and there he was scampering about looking for cover. I opened the door he runs in, wet and out of breath. I dried him off and I think he's been sleeping the rest of the day. What did you do, Giz?

Scott was on-call last night at the hospital and only got an hour of sleep. He came home at 2:30 p.m., ate some lunch, took a shower and then fell asleep. Poor guy is sooooo exhausted, but thrilled with what he's seeing and learning. He ran a code today and helped put a guy on ECHMO in 20 minutes (which a guess is some kind of record).

The kids have been a little off because they are still catching up on sleep from our trip to Arkansas. So, we've had a little temper tantrums and in Ian's case, squealing, here and there. Payton insisted that I take her picture after she got herself dressed yesterday. She thought she was hilarious. The movie is of Ian taking Payton's chair into his room so she could sit with us for our pre-nap story time (notice the squealing).
