Maybe she'll be a writer

Grandpa tells Payton stories when they get together. Payton will sit and listen to one of Grandpa's made up stories for almost a half an hour - which amazes me. Grandpa will also sometimes use pictures out of the newspaper to help illustrate the story. Well, one day last week, I guess it was too hot for Grandpa to work outside, so Grandpa put together a story book for Payton made with pictures from the newspaper. She LOVED it! The book has inspired Payton to put together her own books. The first one is entitled A House With Kiera and Kaylee (her cousins on my side of the family). We are in the middle of the second book which also has Kiera and Kaylee in it. Payton has been doing a little cutting out of the pictures herself. She glues the pictures by herself and tells me what to write. Right now her story lines are pretty simple. The first book just walks the reader through a day with Kiera and Kaylee, but who knows what she will write next. Maybe she'll be a writer someday.
